Patent leatherUpdated 2 months ago
For our models such as Romane, Tula, Soline, etc.
Care of patent leather requires special precautions to preserve its shine. Unfortunately, cracks and scratches on patent leather cannot be camouflaged as well as on smooth leather.
- Start by wiping the leather surface with a soft, clean cloth or soft brush.
- Then use a cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water to clean the leather. Make sure the cloth is clean to avoid scratching the varnish.
- After cleaning, let the leather air-dry, away from a heat source, as it may crack.
- To restore the shine of patent leather, you can use a special patent leather polish (e.g. Saphir's Rife polish). Apply with a chamois cloth, using circular movements.
- Leave to dry for 15/20 min.
- To polish, rub vigorously but lightly with a cotton chamois.
- Use a buffing brush to maintain shine.
- When not in use, store your shoes in a dry, dark place.
