Vegan suede" or "ultrasuede" refers to a material that reproduces the effect and properties of suede without using animal matter. It is a high-quality synthetic material that closely resembles the texture and appearance of genuine suede. It is a popular alternative to traditional suede due to its durability, ease of care and eco-friendliness. 

"Vegan suede" is mainly made from nylon, polyurethane or recycled polyester.

♻️ To give you an idea in terms of carbon footprint, 100g of "vegan suede" emits 2kg of CO2 whereas 100g of bovine leather alone emits 6.1kg of CO2. 

To maintain : 

• Use soapy water with a mild pH-neutral soap (e.g. Marseille soap) or a special soap for synthetic materials. 
• Rinse, dabbing lightly with a damp cloth, and leave the shoes to dry in a place protected from light. 
• You can apply waterproofing after cleaning.
• For small stains, gently rub with a suede gum.
